The Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca was a hive of activity Saturday evening for Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) Omicron Chapter's first Adult Spelling Bee.

    According to a press release from Curry County Sheriff John Ward, on Feb. 15 at about 9:38 p.m., Lucas Randall DeYoung was taken into custody by the Nevada State Highway Patrol on the Curry County and FBI warrants for his arrest. DeYoung was lodged in the Humboldt County Jail in Winnemucca, Nevada.

McDermitt High School’s Ben Draunidalo was named to the Eastern 1A first team.

McDermitt High School’s Cauy Crutcher and Ben Draunidalo were named to the Eastern 1A first team by the league’s six coaches.
Crutcher, a senior, averaged 21.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.2 steals a game.
Draunidalo, a sophomore, averaged 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds a game.
