These grants are available on a competitive basis to Nevada's15 Non Metro Counties and 11 Rural Incorporated Cities. Seventy percent of the projects funded must benefit communities and neighborhoods where at least 51% of the residents have annual household incomes of 80% or less of the median income for their respective counties. Since l990 Pershing County has received more than $1,000,000.00 in CDBG grant funds. In the event that any projects are funded that result in the displacement of any persons, Pershing County adopted an anti-displacement policy. Pershing County does not discriminate on the basis of the handicapped status of any person in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in its federally assisted programs or activities.
