Turkey Bingo: Turkey Bingo will be held March 19 at the Community Center at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by Domestic Violence Intervention.

Book Club: will meet at 6:15 at Temptations. This month’s book is ‘The Mapmaker’s Wife’ by Robert Whitaker.

Grace St. Francis Community Church Easter Week: The schedule begins with Palm Sunday, March 20 with Bible study at 9 a.m. followed by the communion service at 10 a.m. Good Friday service will be on March 25 at 3 p.m. Easter Sunday communion service is on March 27 at 10 a.m.

Frontier Days Scholarship Application Due: Each year Lovelock Frontier Days gives up to four scholarships to high school seniors. Our scholarship emphasizes community service, particularly for Lovelock Frontier Days. Scholarships will be based on volunteering for Lovelock Frontier Days (one point for each volunteer hour), application (possible 100 points) and interview (possible 100 points). The criteria on which the application are judged: civic activities and other community service (20 points), extracurricular activities (10 points), financial need and personal employment (30 points), GPA (10 points), letter of recommendation from teacher, employer/ volunteer supervisor, and personal acquaintance (3x5 points), and thought and time spent on application (10 points). A cover page must be submitted with your PCHS Scholarship Application and three letters of recommendation to your high school counselor or LFD committee member Marianne Papa by April 1. Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Loss: A Comprehensive Guide for Family Caregivers: presented by the state of Nevada at the Lovelock Senior Center on Tuesday April 5 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Sign in from 1:15 until 1:30. To register call Dolores Ward (775) 682-8470 by April 1. Respite care may be available to caregivers. The program has been approved by the Board for Social Workers, Board for Long Term Care Administrators and the UNR School of Medicine for Nurses for 3.0 continuing education units.
